This was fantastic, especially the end where he finally tells her what she wanted to know without telling her what she wanted to know, it was a very Booth move I think. I also liked that you brought it back to "put the brain in neutral, pop the heart into overdrive" because at the end of the day, that's what truly believes and I think he's going to stick with his heart despite Sweet's attempt at squint-ery.

So anyway, long-winded comment already behind me, I really loved this, thank you for posting it!

I think there is a very small part of him (Booth, that is) that questions himself whether he really is fully back or not. And I think it's more that, then what Sweets said to him that's holding him back.

He needs to know he's back for himself, and he needs Brennan to know that he's back, before there's any declarations of his undying love for her. At least, IMO ;).

He wouldn't want her turning all squinty on him, and try to un-qualify his feeling.

Lovely little post ep!

What are the chances of that?. I was writing this, and I was like what the hey? let's give a shout out to C. Ferg and I had questions whether it worked or didn't. And after thinking about it for awhile I thought it worked, just fine.
