Just read through all of these (you actually posted the 6th as I was getting to the 4th!) and I love them. You two have taken this complicated thing and broken it down into bitesize pieces and made it easier to digest and understand. This collaboration... is a beautiful thing.
Ah, I speak for both of us when I say that we are so glad that you're enjoying this! We both have longer, more elaborate pieces in the works, but right now the mini-fic muses are lighting it up.
So the fact that you're enjoying this? Yeah, it kinda means the world. ♥
There better be more coming from you too, you know! I hope I make that very clear. :)
how they think that maybe they're just not enough for the other.
This. They're perfect for each other because they both can't stop thinking how they're not good enough for one another. And that? That just breaks my heart. :(
And she wants him to be that change-inducing constant. She wants him to say to her: You can change, Bones. You already have.
But, then again.
A part of her just wants him to give up on her. To stop wasting his time with her because all he'll end up having in the end is a broken heart.
A broken heart, that as much as she wants to fix, she just... can't.
She can't.
I read your comment, and mini-ficced because it just came out of me. And I haven't even had breakfast yet.
I have been so freakin' exhausted since Wednesday. I can't even describe it, but I have an idea that I am not the only one. Because it is an emotional exhaustion; and this is over two characters.
Point is, I just read through to Part 7 and this is absolutely amazing. Both of you have captured my attention and their characters. You are spot on. And it just weaves together so fantatically. Is that even a word???
Please feel free to post this picture on every occasion. I LOVE IT. I LOVE THIS.
I posted this after PART 7 at M's. I wanted to share the love!!
I am also going to friend you. Because this is amazing.
Oh, you're definitely not alone. Emotional exhaustion is exactly how I feel, because every minute I stop thinking about it, that I think I'm okay... it just... hits me, and then I'm a complete emotional mess. All over again.
Hee. We weren't planning on stopping in the near future, so thanks, I'm glad your enjoying these (and the banner which we love). :)
Thanks for the sweet words! I'm adding you back! :)
*Sighs* I love the echoing back to M's with the constant thought and...
It's as if she's the only person in the world who's capable of breaking his heart. And at the same time, she's the only person in the world who's capable of picking up the pieces and putting them all back. Because, holy crap, that's it. Everything she is to him and everything he is to her (whether she's ready to face it or not) boiled down to one beautiful sentence.
See? Show has taken us to the point where, what's between these two? It isn't just love anymore. It's that whole, can't breathe, can't sleep, can't live without you thing. The ultimate kinda love.
And I feel like, as painful, as the sort of state they're in right now, is... it'll only lead to forward steps being taken.
Gah. This Show is doing things to me, and I love it.

That is why this is so tragic isn't it. Poor Booth.
What makes it even more tragic, is that they both have parts of themselves that don't think they're good enough for another. She thinks she can't love him the way he deserves to be loved (even though we know she can) and I think a part of him, thinks that he just isn't enough for her (when she knows that he is). It's just... guh. Oh, show. ♥
We're glad you're along with us, on the ride, Jems! These are a blast to write! :)

I'll be back after a bowl of cereal :).
