I love your Brennan, the way my Booth loves your Bones.

I swear, M. I think we need to continue this fic-athon into 101 and perhaps the rest of the season because I can still feel the aftershocks. ♥

Add to the list, me, Booth (and Brennan to some extent, but she doesn't know it / understand it yet) and the rest of the fandom and I think you're set! :)

Guh, am I even coherent anymore? I don't think so...

I really liked that, despite the outcome of the second gambling, the kiss, he still knows it's lightning. That it's happening again to them and that? Well, if it's already defying statistics to strike them twice...

It won't be immediate; instead opting for subtle. So much so, that they might not even notice at first.
♥ that. Just the idea even without recognizing it, it's there for them; there's no changing it.

I think Booth will go on a bit of a journey. And he may not always show it per se, but he'll always know.

He'll always know that there will be a part of him who will want to wait for her. Who knows what they can be, and knows that she knows it too. She just isn't ready yet.

And then... one day... it will just happen.

Whoa. Hold the phone. I'm actually sort of reeling from the fact that we've rendered you incoherent. ♥

Hah, yes, take pride in that ;)

Anyhow, actual point of my reply - I agree. It sort of feels like the S2 Cam stuff to me in a way. I always suspected he realized how much he cared about her then and now, knowing he knew he was in love with her, but didn't feel he could be with her yet.... well, it just seems like he was waiting for her for some reason then and he's doing the same now, but for a different reason...

And on her end, I sort of hope we get some of that visceral reaction like she had when she found out he was seeing Cam. Sure she tried to shut it down pretty quickly, act like it was fine, but it did bother her and for more reasons than she let on. Because as much as she tries to ignore them sometimes, when it comes to him, the emotions are there...

Ok, I think it's probably too early for me to be rambling like this so I'll just stop there ;)

He's pretty sure he's one hundred percent in love with her already.

I so totally believe this. His face when he saw her in the lecture theatre ... his grin when she asked if he was dating ... his lazy longing looks at the bar ... and his confession just prior to kissing her (not the "I'm gonna kiss you now ... the gambling one ... in that sexy husky voice *guh* ...)

and didn't Brennan question Booth over his belief in love at first site after Jared met Padme ... maybe his theory has all been based on the first time he set eyes on her all along.

Mhm.

I'm with you one hundred percent.

He knows she's the one.

And he may try to fight it. Try to change it.

But ultimately?

Who won't be able to.

And that's when the fandom will explode. :)

YUP!

I am starting to get scared now we have moved past 100. I saw the promo for next week and am not sure I can take this moving on crap. I am starting to get very VERY scared for the finale. All my positivity is leeching away and I am left with fear.

What's important is that it's there, lingering in the air between them where that thing used to be.

I really liked your use of lightning in this part of the fic and instead of making it something to fear, in this case it's something to strive for and to chase after. The heat, the electricity, the explosion. You can just feel Booth's determination in this piece and it's a thing of beauty...
