They're both standing now, and he lets his thumbs brush over the soft skin of her knuckles. She's trembling (or he is, he can't be really sure at the moment because all he can feel is his heart, pounding within his chest).
Gaaaah. I love that image - the idea - of him not knowing which of them it really is that's trembling. Partially because of it being because of his heartbeat, but also because of how much it captures how intertwined they are. Beautiful.

I'm glad you loved that part as much as I did. And also, I love how you pick up on what, I could only hope, comes through in the wording.

There are parts of them that will forever be inside each other. And I think that's just one of many confirmations that they're meant to be together, you know?
