Sorry it took so long but here is the real entry...
I headed over to the Museum of Science today for my Ducktour and to see the museum. Traffic really wasn't too bad for Boston and I made it there in plenty of time.
I got strapped in nice and tight on the Duck and off we went.
We toured all over Boston. The driver was a hoot and told us all sorts of fun facts about Boston and the people who live there. Here are various shots from around Boston including the Cheers bar.
And then we drove into the water...
Back inside the museum I saw some shows, toured the exhibits and had a good time.
They had a pretty good frog exhibit.
A Red Tail Hawk was out for us to see up close.
After the museum I headed out to the Summer Shack to meet up with 5 great girls I've met up with at an on-line message board. We had a blast and sat around talking for almost 4 hours. Here's some of the food...
We all split the Tower of Power or as the Bostonians call it the Towah of Powah!!!!!
I had the Lobster Roll for dinner. The lobster wasn't anywhere near as good as what I had in Bar Harbor but the seasoning was a nice touch.
I decided that since I was in Boston I'd get Boston Cream Pie for dessert. This is the first and only thing I sent back to the kitchen in this entire trip. There were 3 layers of cake covered in chocolate but no cream. Well I think there might have been an eighth of an inch of cream inside but it was the driest piece of cake I've tasted in a long time. It was terrible.
Tomorrow another day in Boston but it should be an easy one. I've decided to go see Star Trek in IMAX instead of walking the Freedom Trail.
