Well said lad. But of course the Zidane headbutt illustrated that soccer and the players affect more than just the score of the game.

Other than seminal 80's post-punk band the Replacements, what meets Jim Rome's approval? I always feel like he's one unfunny stunt away from turning on Chad Johnson.

Romey's Spelling Bee bit from a few years back is priceless. I, obviously, don't agree with this latest rant, but I find it comical anyway. Nothing meets Rome's on-air persona. My guess is that he's not so cynical when he doesn't have to degrade something for ratings. At least I hope not.
