I remember...being mature. I remember being known by friends as a funny guy, and being known as the quiet and talented genius to everyone else. I hated Barney and Power Rangers, and always assumed they were for the generation after me, but after having seen the years that these shows were on I realized it was just me being "mature" I suppose

I can relate to you in the New York sense, because after New York, many things changed. I guess it's just a really big change that I had trouble adjusting to. I didn't attend a public school in NY though, but I attended a catholic school right next to PS 152 for 1st and 2nd grade (in queens). It was great back then

Wow. That was really awesome. At first I thought it was a long random post about anything and everything-- and it kinda was, but it was also very interesting and revealing. I just find it admirable the way some people can share things about themselves so fearlessly. I've never been able to do that... as you already know. ;) And I also think it's cool the way other people felt they could share and open up once you did. I'm not gonna do that, though. I'm not terribly interesting. :P But it helps to know that everyone's got their secrets and that I have friends that are willing to make themselves vulnerable by sharing them. It gives me hope that when I feel I can open up, I'll be accepted too. :)
Everyone has secrets that they won't share to anyone. I guess what's considered something that should be kept as secret is something that's objective. I don't think a good friend is someone who tells someone all of their secrets when it isn't important for them to know. What makes a good friend is also objective

Wow. I didn't know you lived in NY, too. And close to where I was.
