Well, you know we all use these fun and silly social devices like live journal, friendster and myspace. They help us stay fairly current with each other's lives and gives us an opportunity to "get away" in a sense. Well, it is not till now that I noticed that with my friends from high school 4 out of every 5 friends is married and has MULTIPLE kids ( Read more... )

We've already discussed this, but that is your decision. Please don't take anyone's advice too heavily. You know the # if you want to chat.

Yes we have discussed this. I was totally amazed when looking at HS friends on myspace. Some of them actually kept their figures too. Wow. But, my friend, there are definate advantages to being a free bird. Any word on D20?

Well my niggo...

The only thing I've heard is what I've heard today -- that I've been approved for a mighty home loan. If I find a house I digg, the search is unfortunately over.

I think that it is the right time when you think it is the right time. It's a personal thing for most people. Some people are never ready... others always have been.

And, sometimes, those who are ready don't have the opportunity... while some of those who are not ready end up in weird situations.

I think that you need to do what will make you happy.

I know what you mean about looking at the high school crew--it seemed like EVERYONE was getting engaged/married/having kids right out of high school. When it was time for my five-year-reunion, there was no way in HELL I was going to go, still free as a bird and a college student when all these people were living "real lives."

And I would never have expected things to work out like they did in the last two years--not at all what I would have planned, but I don't feel like I've "missed out" on anything.

I would say make sure that it feels like you're really ready, and not just that you feel like you have to move in a certain direction just because it's been 5 years. I guess what I'm saying is this: make sure of what's motivating you before you take any big steps--make sure it's what YOU want to make YOU happy, and not just trying to "keep up with the Joneses"
