Why am I just finding out now that Diana Norman a.k.a. Ariana Franklin died in January? I'm never going to know now what she had planned for that fifth book in here Mistress of the art of Death series which was so obviously set up at the end of the fourth

Oh man! I was totally going to read Mistress of the Art of Death next, but now my motivation is killed. I hate being left hanging... It's the reason (among others) I only read one of the Stieg Larsson books. Boo.

They're extremely enjoyable reads, but you're totally right, it's awful to invest so much time into the serise, only to be left hanging.
But you should try the first one, at least. It stands on its own pretty well and if you want to move on to the other ones, so be it :)

I understand that the fifth was written, and will be published posthumously. I love this series!
