Well here we are over a week later and I finally have the first full coat of paint on the scullery walls, I have a bit of pressure on now as Davis's brother, Sticky, and father are coming on Friday for the week-end (first visit since we have been here) I also have a school friend from London staying on Saturday as we are having a housewarming/BBQ,

i left my hair curlers on for about an hour and a half on my metal computer desk-before shrieking and remembering that they were there!

Yes, that's true - do you remember when D was still alive she used to make him strip at the door before allowing him in when he had been away for a while - poor Sticky!

I've had to stop using hair straighteners, since I'm sure they were setting off some kind of latent obsessive-compulsive disorder in me - I was so paranoid about leaving them on that I actually had to turn back a few weeks ago (about a mile of the way to work) to come home and check I'd turned them off. Yikes... I'm not sure it's worked; I've started worrying about not locking the door now...
