why do older rockers have a difficult time retiring
bowie, stones, reed, u2 and there are others
why can't they understand that their time has past
why can't they help influence new rock bands instead
do a little scouting or start a label or something other than more shitty music - why can't they just booze all day and listen to old albums - why must they attempt to make new ones
i just don't understand
they're only fooling themselves and its sad
and what's worse is the music community that lets them get away with their bad music as if its okay because they earned it or something
nonsense

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

i have been saying "just say no to new lou reed" for years at this point. like junior year united states history getting in trouble for saying that if he thinks it's okay to make music still then he might as well just kick the bucket.

----Well, at one time, you've got it, and then you lose it, and it's gone forever. All walks of life: George Best, for example. Had it, lost it. Or David Bowie, or Lou Reed...
----Some of his solo stuff's not bad.
----No, it's not bad, but it's not great either. And in your heart you kind of know that although it sounds all right, it's actually just shite.
