I know that I have a tendency to write more when things trouble me, but I guess that is my way of dealing with life. And lately, it has totally hit the fan. And when it hits the fan, it splatters. I'd like to start out with saying that is was so nice seeing you in the video, I mean getting a face, a voice to the person in here.. that's actually worth a lot, disregarding the reason you had it made which by all means aren't the happiest! I so hope they will pick you, to give you a feeling of getting a grip on that bubble of hope you so need, that we all need for different reasons.

All the things going on in your life.. well how can you not need to indulge in some self-pity? It's too much to cope with not being affected by on all sorts of levels.

I can't but wish things to work out for you, with your son, your job, your mom and living arrangements!

Sending one BIG hug and I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Btw, when will you know if you get picked or not?

Thanks for your support! I am really hoping they pick me too. It would be the chance of a lifetime for sure.Unfortunately, they do not seem to give a date as to when the make their selections.

Oh, no date given, that will be somewhat of a nervous wait perhaps! In any way, fingers keep being crossed, they don't do much else of use anyway atm :)

It wasn't a happy video, no, but doesn't he have the MOST GORGEOUS BLUE EYES EVER?! I've always loved his eyes. :D

You certainly have your hands full, and my heart goes out to you. Could you survive a 90 mile each way commute for a year or so...until the housing market recovers? I did 70 mile one-way thing for two years...it was rough

I commuted for a year and a half to hear before we got moved up and it was rough. Financially, I spent almost 700 mth on gas alone. Plus I would have to have my son at his school by 730am with no way to pick him up. He has emotional needs that erupt at school that make it a bad idea to be 90 miles away at any one given time. If I get picked for TBL I would have to farm him out to family or else make other arrangements

Sweetness, I'm sure other people have it rough too, but your situation makes -me- wanna cry. An I'm almost 1000 miles away! Don't suppose you'd consider moving to my neck of the woods? Or desert rather? You need help and I'd be more than willing. I know it would be a booger of a haul, but it wouldn't be any worse than what you're facing now, and I could come drive your Ma and your boy. And if your Ma didn't wanna move that far, well, she has other family in the area. Still irritates me that they're not helping out more.

I still think they're crazy if they don't pick you for TBL. You're a success story for them waiting to happen, I know it.
