I guareente you that if you did half as much research as Mel Kiper you could do his job. He does have a lot inside information, and he does know obscure details, but you're also right when you say that's all he does. Given 364 days to prepare, I would hope he could make some educated guesses. I also love how he was called Mel Kiper Jr. for so long, it's fading away, but it just seemed funny to me that this big important man could be refered to as Jr. (that goes for GW as well)
