Niagara Falls show

Billy Talent put on a kick ass set last night in Niagara Falls. It was my first time seeing them live, and if it they only played (Devil in a Midnight Mass, This Suffering, Line and Sinker, Red Flag, River Below, The Ex, Fallen Leaves, and Try Honesty) they just rocked. The crowd was great, really into it..which is why Ben said they'd definetly be ( Read more... )

I'm SO FUCKING EXCITED! Woot, they're coming to Toronto in Feb!

Was it Ian at the merch stand? Because my friend bought me Scandalous Travellers for my bday and there Ben and Ian were selling tees at the stand.

Never seen them live either, but from what I hear they're very humble and like to come out and talk to their fans. February couldn't come any sooner...

Did you get any pics you wanna post ?? :D

Yeah it was just Ian who was there. He was standing there, tlaking to the merch guy, watching Rise Against, and talking to anyone who came up and all that. He was very sweet about it all. I didn't see Scandolous Travellers onsale at the merch stand...they just had 3 shirts, and their 2 CDs and the Pezz album. Now had Ben also been there...I think I would've died. :P

They do seem to be really humble guys and just really into meeting their fans. Even just onstage, when Ben spoke, it was like he actually cared about the audience, just talking to us, especially when he said that they are definetly coming back to this area because of how awesome a crowd we've been to them. It did seem like everyone around me was a Billy Talent fan, just singing and rocking their hearts out. Unfortuantely, I didn't bring a camera or get any pictures :(

and yay for Buffy! and bangel! :P

Was Ben's hair long and dark??? :D Oh boo, no pictures? That sucks.

Haha awesome you're a BTVS fan. It's my not so little fandom obsession.

P.S Are you going to see SP when they go to NY? I've got my tix already :)

ooooh haha i understand and you now!

Ben's hair from what I could see, it was still kinda long, like in the back..and I think a darker blonde/brownish, but I couldn't tell exactly. None of my friends tried to sneak their cameras in..one got some pics on his cell phone, but almost lost his phone a few times so he gave up on it lol.

and yesss I am! It's my not so little fandom obsession too haha.

When are Snow Patrol coming to NY? I'll have to check this out!

Circa Survive bored me terribly, and you could tell by the crowd too...and the one guy who kept making comments or something and the lead singer called him an asshole and a motherfucker, ha.

Hmm. I guess Circa Survive is an aquired taste kind of thing. I've seen them like 3 times and they've been amazing all three times.

yeah, I don't mind their music. I only really started listening to them when I knew about this concert, and they're not bad. But last night, seeing them live...didn't really do too much for me. It might've been the fact that they played after Billy Talent that affected my view of it. But the crowd just didn't seem that into it either, except for people up front. There was some moving and pushing and stuff but nothing like any of the other 3 bands. My friend said that he respects an experimental band, and that they have good music but it all sounds very similar. and that they didnt seem to fit in with the 3 other bands, stylistically. it seemed like the momentum dropped when they performed, and then came back up for Thursday.

I got pictures with Ian! We walked in from that outdoor patio, and there he was. It was pretty awesome.

I don't care much about Circa Survive and Thursday, but I loooved Rise Against and Billy Talent. BT have been my favourite band for so long now.

I regret soo much not buying tickets to the T.O. show now.

ahhhh awesome!!! I would've gotten a picture but I didn't bring my camera and neither did any of my friends. :\ Ian was so sweet.

yeah I never really knew much of Circa Survive or Thursday's stuff. I knew some Rise Against, and I'm definetly going to check them out more. The lead singer has craaaaazy good stage presence. I loved when they did Swing Life Away. That song is just gorgeous and with everyone singing, it was pretty amazing. My friends bought me the ticket to this show for my birthday because I kept saying how much I wanted to see BT even if they were just opening. I reallllllllly hope they come back to the Buffalo region like they said, since it's the closest place I can go while being either at home or at college in Rochester. I want to see them do their own show with a full set. I'm guessing the Toronto show is sold out...that sucks so much :\
