Wow, I love how you've handled this. It's very much like reading conventional boy meets boy fiction, but starring our favorite Young Avengers. I also like how things are going slow. I've written my own fiction with original characters, but since the first chapter in particular was more testing the waters for myself in terms of porn than fic, I had the characters hook up in chapter one, something that looking back I might have done more like this.
well done indeed, and you can bet good money on it I'll be back for more. And harrass you if it doesn't come *wink*

First of all, I giggled because I'm still using that icon of yours, this time over at Dark Throne. I think it's hilarious when people review their battle logs and see that they were ebaten by a Connor/Kyle make-out session. :p

Second, thanks for the compliments and the, erm, encouragement. I'm really happy about your enthusiasm, though. Careful, or I might start acting like one of those egotistical writers. ;)

Speaking of writing, can I offer you a suggestion? I think that in situations like you describe, when you write a porn fic to test yourself but don't want to work on the foreplay just yet, it might help to just go ahead and write the smut, then go backwards. Sometimes the journey to the main event is as exciting to write as the sex itself. (Funny enough, I got the tactic from R.L. Stine. He wrote his Goosebumps books ending-first.)

I already did that a couple of times but in the later chapters there's less porn and more fluff and snark, which is infinitely cooler to write =) You can find my stuff at www.gayauthors.org/frankaidenryan but there's also a direct link in my LJ. And you're in top form! I also think that the teenaged awkwardness is well-portrayed, and that the boys are incredibly cute together. I'm dreading the next chapter, but I know what comes after, so I'm happy.

Greggy-boy is a total ass, though. His behaviour at the end of Teddy's part of the YA Special was bad enough, but this is a brand new low.

However, our boys are as lovable as ever, and so long as that is so, everything is copacetic. Yay for adorable boys!
