This was two weekends ago. I'd never been before. A warehouse of used books, at Fort Mason, while the world's largest yacht was going by. The sadness of so many unwanted books crossed with the giddy joy of so many cheap books! Also, a truly yummy lunch at Green's and a quick stop at the Museum of the Long Now.

I am already rubbing my hands together in anticipation.

It was very good! I had an eyeballed quarter cup, then filled up the rest of the Black Bear Diner mug with milk, microwaved. I liked it a lot as it was very light tasting - rather like warm coffee ice cream with a nice numbing, buzzy effect. Afterwards, I didn't feel all that different - maybe a bit lightheaded. I had the coffee at about 8 pm, and next morning (or all day really) I did have rather a bad headache, which might have been caused by the coffee, but I'm not so sure, as it was a jaw-grinding sort of night. Proper experimental controls were not in place, I'm afraid. :-)

Erik wants me to down the rest of the bottle in one go, or something, but I don't want to get a massive stomachache, so probably won't. However, I will fill you in on further events as they occur.

Actually, the stomach effects compared to normal hot coffee are non-existent. One of the reasons to make it the way I did is that it doesn't leach out much of the acids. This means some of the burnt tongue biting flavor isn't there, but since I don't like that anyway...

Good to know. Like I said, that was what I liked about it - that it was light, but not weak. I am an enemy of weak coffee in all its guises.
