Boring year overall. I love James Franco, but he acted like a presenter, not a host.
Anne Hathaway tried, but didn't do much better. Also, HOW many dresses can a girl wear in one evening? Reminded me of college parties, esp ones with Marc Fong. Anne didn't have a special matching cocktail glass for each dress, but maybe that comes later.
Kirk Douglas is not creepy. He had a stroke, first of all, and I'm happy that he's comfortable enough to go in the public eye and talk so much. Second of all, you do know what he used to look like, no? If he gave me a compliment like he gave Anne Hathaway, that would make the rest of my life. I find his son a little creepier, but anyway. So you DO know about pop culture, Misses. You know a lot. ;-P Natalie Portman looked so beautiful, even with her tassle earrings. That woman makes me damn envious-always so poised. At least Mila Kunis talks in a humbled loud crass voice and I forget about how pretty she is.
Kirk, Kurt, whatever. ;-) I hadn't connected who he was exactly, but Wikipedia to the rescue. It's Dimpled Chin Man from Spartacus! And no, I never liked him, sorry. His remarks just showed an antiquated attitude towards women that I never have much patience with. But a stroke would explain some things I was wondering about.

Oh, some, I guess. :-) Here and there, mostly through other people's efforts. It was through Erik that I saw James Franco on Freaks and Geeks and Natalie Portman in Star Wars, for example.
Natalie Portman is a class act, there's no denying it. I'd be interested in seeing her as Elizabeth Bennet, and that's a rare compliment from me! (I know she was discussed for the part in the zombie version, but w/o zombies.)
