Tomorrow I head out on the road, but I've had a pleasant time in London. Two real days and one day spent mostly in bed. I had so much to do the night before my flight that I actually did not go to bed. I slept off and on from SF to Chicago, but then couldn't sleep from Chicago to London, by which point anyway my body was seriously annoyed with me.

I just watched Simon Schama's A History of Britain, so I'm feeling steeped in history. Wouldn't have remembered Runnymeade, though. ;-)

LOL, you mean Rob. ;-) No... It was only a slight fancy, you know! And I think having me, Roz, and Gretchen staying with him, especially when we were 7-weeks-sick of each other, was a little much for him anyway!

(I saw the new Jane Eyre, and liked it pretty well, though I still think the 2006 Ruth Wilson/Toby Stephens is the one to beat.)

Jane Eyre, eep!! And Jane Austen!
I am against any Jane Eyre movies because I just don't think someone should cheat like that- they don't understand how long Jane had to suffer near the end- they just won't get it like the book told it. But maybe the new one will be better.
