It drives me crazy too. Isn't one of the fundamentals of Christianity to love and care about your fellow human being?

In the bible, if you read it, and I forget where exactly it's located, God actually condemns those who go against the natural order of man and woman being together. I know what you mean, and you know what I tell them; If God has such compassion and was dumb enough to give us free will, why can't he accept the fact that people are expressing it in the way they want to? Leaves alot of uber-religious people really ticked at me, but they see my point.

Because there are some christian people out there that aren't so open to the idea of homosexuality. They aren't willing to accept people for who they are and not what they happen to be. Everybody is different with the way they see people and unfortunetely they aren't open to any other ideas but their own.

I don't know about everyone else, but the church I grew up in went on a don't ask don't tell policy. I was really uncomfortable with my sexuality as a christian for years, until I met a CATHOLIC PRIEST of all things who told me that god has given us many ways of loving others, and as christians if we personally believe that a persons sexuality is a sin, you need to love the sinner and hate the sin. In other words, pray for them if you feel they need it, but otherwise leave them to their own business. I take a lot of comfort in that.
