great goals btw. I have a few ways to cut spending.. probably common sense but i'll tell them anyways!!
-we invested in power strips, then when we leave home or even just the room we can shut ten things off at once by simply flipping the switch. 75% of energy is used by home electronis when they're NOT in use. -change furnace filter every thirty days. saves in heat costs. -turn heat down ten degrees when leaving home and when you go to sleep. this saves 15% of your bill. -keep all unused vents closed in winter i.e basement, attic, even kitchen vents can be closed. -buy a low flow shower head. -turn water heater DOWN to 110/120 degrees. It's normally set far above 120... but if you turn it down it saves on money and you can't even notice the difference!
