He went in to the OR at 1:30. His wife was going to post to Facebook via Droid soon as the doctor came out to tell her the surgery was over. There's been no post and she didn't text through his phone either. I know the surgery was supposed to last about 4 hrs, then 2 hrs in recovery and in his room by around 7pm. Lee Ann should have posted hours

I'm keeping you all in my prayers. Don't panic just yet. I work in a hospital and his surgery may have been delayed once he was taken back. It happens all the time. An emergency comes in and boom, you're shoved on the back burner. My mother had surgery last year. They took her back for what was supposed to be a 2 hr surgery at 10:00am. We didn't see her again until 8:oopm when they finally wheeled her in from recovery. It was nothing to do with her. Two emergency cases came in while she was back being prepped and she had to wait. I hope and pray that is all this is. *hugs* I hope you hear from them soon.

Oh, I hope so too--when I had intestinal surgery last year there was a fire in the hospital and there was a three hour delay...but then again this is Johns Hopkins and a specialist was brought in for this surgery...that's why I'm concerned...Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers....
