Oblivious to the unaware

If the old adage, "Ignorance is bliss" carries any validity, then what can be said for those who possess true knowledge? Are they too in a state of bliss, or does this indeed discredit the aforementioned adage? Though a beautifully written entry, what you failed to address was the fact that in real life, we don't get that choice. And if we were presented with the decision of ignorance or enlightenment, all of us would choose a path of knowledge. We're curious by human nature. Whoever said ignorance is bliss was only kidding themselves. What's the most important matter is what we do when faced with these complex situations. How you act upon them is a reflection of your character. So what would you do if, say, you learned that a close friend (or rather a once believed to be close friend) does not approve of you or your actions and there by often speaks ill of you behind your back? I would hope for your sake you would find the root of this problem. And though wronged in many ways, still forgive them. We all make mistakes.
