If you're going to claim that our soldiers are slaves to a foreign power, you could at least go with the truth and get mad about how the British government could order us to raise a militia eighty years ago. I can't think of a single example of Canadian troops going to war at the request of an American president... can you?

Sorry, I must have not been paying attention the day the Americans told us to do that.

I certainly remember when Chretien flatly refused to support that Iraq business... and when Harper reaffirmed our position on the subject.

might not have been iraq. perhaps afghanistan, but I clearly remember hearing about our troops staying out there awhile longer. :P
