This is what you get when I’m angry and had one or four coffee too much

So, I made my decision and asked a mod over at Talk CSI to delete my account. Sadly, it isn’t possible to delete it, but they can lock it, so I’m not able to post there and start a “Fight” again with the like five-year-old-behaving-adults.

I have to say that I’m a little sad about this decision, but it makes no sense to stay there. I know that the “ ( Read more... )

*hugs* Don't let them get to you like this.
I haven't been on Talk for ages i.e. months, because it was starting to stress me. I avoided the shipper threads anyway as much as I could, and though I really like my Nick/Greg, that's nothing to fight about. I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that people fight about fictional characters and their even more fictional relationship.... And *looks around* seriously, Greg fans are - nuts. Completely ;-) Almost as much as GSR fans ;)
*points to icon* The SPN-fandom is pretty cool, just in case you need distraction *lol*

What happened? Did you also said something negative about Greg or GSR? *lol*
No, joke, I'm sorry to hear that you lost the fun to go there. *hugs*

Exactly, I totally agree with you. I know that not all Greg fans are like this, but I recognized that they and a few Nick/Greg fans are going the same route like some GSR fans.
You too? It seems that everyone who loses interest for CSI goes over to the SPN and SGA fandom. And I'm sure only becuase of the stories and not the hot boys, right? ;)

No thanks, I don't need a further distraction, believe me when school begins in two weeks, I'll have distraction enough. *lol*

When will we see SPN in Germany, do you know this?

No, I usually don't say negative stuff about fandoms. Live and let live, that's what I always say :) But Greg fans do have the tendency to defend him a lot....and let's not talk about GSR, pretty please? *lol* One day we should discuss it. *hugs back*
I haven't lost interest in CSI (much), I love and adore Nick aka George, so I'm looking forward to the next season, I really do. But I'm also a little afraid - it's the 8th season now, I doubt they'll come around with something new and exciting. Or a decent story line for Nick ;)
And of course I love SPN because of the mystery stories *makes serious face* Never EVER would I think about hot guys *lol* No, it's really a bit addictive...and okay, the boys are cute, too :) (Untertreibung des Jahres!!!!) SPN will be on Pro 7 very soon, in autumn, I think. Forgot to check the date, but it will be on the "mystery monday" (which will turn out to be the "drooling monday")

I also haven't lost interest in CSI, but I'm not enjoying it like I did before. I'm still watching because of George and I'm still waiting for Grave Danger continuity, I won't believe that TPTB are so stupid to let such a story drop. They have still a chance to deal with PTSD after three years. But TPTB destroyed a lot by ignoring the GD aftermath.
Oh, thats good news and RTL 2 will show Heroes in autumn, so we have soemthing to looking forward. =)

I totally agree with softcake-70. Some people tend to forget all characters are fictional.
And besides that, I'm a strong believer in having your own opinion. Nobody needs to agree with it, but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to have that opinion or that everybody can attack you because of it. I think that's what freedom of speech is about.

But a lot of those people are probably young fan-girls (that are in love with Greg and/or for some reason find something romantic about GSR), and they feel offended by someone else's view. Why? Beats me. And in that case it is better to avoid stress and stay away.

Unless you have a bad mood, nothing more fun than picking a fight then. *grin*

Oh "Freedom of Speech" is also one of my fave issue. I had a "fight" about this on Talk CSI and a Nick/Greg board a few month ago.

Some Nick/Greg and Greg fans have their own interpretation of Freedom of speech. It's okay for them to insult Nick fans as homphobics, stupid and bigoted fangirls; it's allowed to bash GSR or other ships for example Nick/Grissom, Nick/Ecklie (because these ships are just weird). But all hell breaks loose when you say something negative about Greg!

Unless you have a bad mood, nothing more fun than picking a fight then. *grin*

*lol* I have to agree, sometimes it makes fun to fight. But to "fight" with Greg fans is just a pain in the ***. =)

And I'm also sorry for the mods; they already have enough work to with people who are obviously to lazy to read the rules and made triple post and such things. *lol*

Not sure why they felt the could not do it themselves but I thought I would ask.Well, anonymous poster are not able to comment. I thought about to change this setting, but I won't do it. I like to "know" the person with whom I talk/write and I had some bad experience with anonymous posts (not on my lj, but on some communities like NicknGreg and Oh No Nicky ( ... )
