A break with Friends
Who: Miyako, Sora, Ken... Possibly Digimon and some stuff from Miyako's father.
When: Saturday, March 19th
Where: Ai Mart
Summary: Miyako finishes off work for the day in preparation for meeting with Sora, only to have a surprise drop in visit from Ken! O:
Miyako let out a sigh of relief. Since the tsunami, Ai Mart had been flooded every time a new shipment came in, and things were finally quieting down for the day. Her dad had told her she could leave as soon as she finished sweeping the floor, so she tackled that assignment in a very Miyako-like way - with far too much enthusiasm than was probably necessary.
While she battled with the dirt demons, her father simply gave his head a shake, "Miyako, you're always so noisy, no matter what you do..."
"Ehhh? Don't say that, 'tou-san!" Miyako paused and cast her dad a pouting face before returning to her task. "I'm just trying to get the job done quickly..."
Her father gave a chuckle as he started organizing the front counter. "Who are you supposed to be meeting with today anyways?" tossing a grin in his daughter's direction, he added, "A boy, perhaps?"
"'tou-san, you know I don't have a boyfriend..."
"I haven't seen Iori-kun around lately."
Miyako rolled her eyes childishly, "I'm meeting with Sora-san. S-o-r-a-s-a-n. A girl. So don't sound so hopeful."
"At least your older sister has a boyfriend now..."
"If you want to bother anyone about that, bother Mantarou-nii. He's a lot older than I am." Miyako muttered, finishing up with her sweeping and heading for the dust pan. "Anyways, I'm just about done."
"Thanks for working so hard, Miyako. Your 'kaa-san and I appreciate it."
Miyako grinned over at her dad then, pushing her earlier annoyance aside. At least she knew she was being helpful. And now she could get get out of here and maybe get home early, before Sora arrived.
