i finished reading "the bell jar" today. i found it disappointing by page 120, and by page 186 began to wonder if there are any books left in the world that i'll really love. i've been in a book-loving slump for YEARS now. since my infatuations with steinbeck and harper lee, i haven't had another. i'm going to give "on the road again" another
