It is okay.

Some people, especially those bound to perfection, spend their lives in the vain attempt to forge the image that seems unquestionable. The walls they hide behind, their rose gardens, their quaint homes, and their false smiles. My tears fall for them. They will never know what it means to live a real life. To sacrifice for growth, to risk in order to get that emotional payoff. In all that spent energy, you would think that an epiphany would be reached, that something would give long enough for them to see the light.

It's okay to not have a perfect life, it's okay to not be overjoyed all the time. That's what life is all about. Riding the proverbial waves, rolling with the metaphorical punches. Strength, at least in my mind, can be measured by what you undergo and grow from. As long as you learn everything you possibly can from these risks, these challenges, then you will always grow and gain.

You are a wonderful, flawed person Rebecca, it honors me to know you.
