I meant to post about this the other day, then totally forgot. I'm lame.
Anyway, those of you on my flist last year, might remember I did the Birmingham Race for Life event. I couldn't walk without pain for about a week afterwards, but it was totally worth it.

I have real live speedy broadband internet, and heating, and my double bed back, and by god it is GLORIOUS.
And, my first week back consists of one lecture. Next Friday.

Apparently, the end of Eastenders coincides with a dramatic increase in power demand in England. It happens nowhere else in the world. Only England.... because 50,000-odd kettles get switched on as the credits roll.
