Xander nearly scalped himself yesterday. While I was changing Elizabeth he got onto the counter and removed the BIG knife I use to cut chicken with from the brain board. Elizabeth slept through the night last night!! Shawn put her down at about 10 and she slept until 6am! I was so well rested today it wasn't even funny. Not only that but she took more of her medicine so it was like having a normal baby with minimal spitup issues. She ate about 2/3 of a jar of squash today, too! Xander fell down the stairs today. It was awful. I saw it about to happen but couldn't react in time to stop it. The stupid gate failed and he went tumbling down the stairs with me running about two steps above him the entire time. I didn't even think to check him for splinters, now that I think of it. Today was Xander's 2 year appointment. He was 31 pounds and 32.5 inches. He gained some weight but no height this time around. The best thing of all was that he didn't need any shots! However, his language development is going a bit slow I guess so instead of going back in a year, we have to go back in 6 months to check up on that. She also ( Read more... )

It's pretty much the extent of Xander's vocabulary for the past couple weeks. He's completely obsessed. I actually want to buy something from Lowes hardware because their last circular came with three pages of tractors which I taped to the wall behind Xander's couch. He is vocabulary building, though. Well, Elizabeth is slowly moving up in the world of percentiles. I think this feeding ever hourthing, coupled with the growth spurt she had Friday into this weekend helped her figures. Elizabeth rolled over the other way!! While we were getting ready to go visit Shawn's Grandparents yesterday morning Elizabeth rolled over from her back to her tummy.
