So, now that I have had some time to adjust to life without vegemite, kangaroos, and cheerful aussies, I suppose I should write an update about what was gone on during the remainder of the summer and the beginning of this new academic year

Its a spread used like Americans use peanut butter (or bread, with butter... with jelly)... Its quite disgusting tasting on almost everything since it tastes very strongly of yeast. Not all aussies like it either, but most who do claim they've always liked it since they were young, so it is more or less something you expose your innocent mouth to when you are young and develop a taste for (try www.vegemite.com.au for a full history; I think there is one there and also claims to health benefits)
