i don't get girls either. It took me a while to get over rich, but not over him in the sense that that whole time i wanted to be back with him. Get over what he did to me is more like it. But i think i had a right. But some girls just can't get over relationships ( ... )

I can understand the concept of getting over something that someone did to someone else, but even that...there is a time to just move on with life.

And I see what you are aslo saying about "firsts." Yes, I am not a girl...but I never did a "first" with just any random person, so each of my firsts holds a special place in my heart. Each person I have dated has had a series of "firsts" attached to them, but when the relationship is done...it is done. James, as you know was my strongest most committed relationship before current...but you learn to let go no matter how many firsts there were. The fact is, the longer you stay in the past...the more the present passes you by.

I don't know...chalk it up to insensitivity and de-humanizing emotions...but I think it is perfectly logical to say that it is illogical to mourn for twice the amount of time it took something to happen even with middle schoolers.
