Up and at 'em, 6:30 am after roughly 4 hours of sleep. My uber-caffeine concoction worked a little too well. If tested, I imagine this drink will be found to contain the equivalent of 6+ cups of coffee. Probably going to have to make another batch to get through the day.

Chemistry finally found a new Department Head, so today was the welcome breakfast--and working behind the scenes totally pays off. I am convinced that no-one in the world knows how to throw a potluck better than secretaries. Wow. I'm so full... what a great start to the day. Now if only I can avoid slipping into food coma before 10 am...
