For my sanity, I have to say that I rendered and watched parts of this video like, SO MANY TIMES. And I know there is a glitch towards the end - I KNOW, OK? I just - I can't be bothered to fix it right now. You probably wouldn't notice it if I hadn't mentioned it - oh well *facepalm*. Okay, so this song, right? GORGEOUS. I can upload it for anyone who'd like the mp3 file, just let me know. I hope the message/story behind the vid comes across, and I hope it's not confusing.
The gist of it - the idea I had to start this vid - besides the obvious, like WIAWSBN is possibly the best ep ever - was that I wanted to show Dean wanting a better life for Sam, like the one he had in the dream world. That they'd have a normal life, even if it hurt Dean to no end that Sam and him were like 'ships floating through each other's lives' in that make-believe world. They'd eventually all 'dock at the same port,' Mary and John and Sam and Dean, the whole Winchester family would eventually, somehow, end up together, and so there's that thread of hope that Dean hangs onto of being a family again. And yeah, this vid sorta ended up being a lot about the events of AHBL during the later half, because I wanted to show the reality of things, Sam dying and Dean saving him and how things are really, really screwed up, how they *angst*, but you know. Only natural that that follows, right? This is the reality that Dean and Sam are faced with, not some dreamworld. And at the end of the day - sometimes Dean needs to be reminded of that, and that's when Sam holds him up a little higher, guides him steady a little longer, like a beacon in the night to a ship at sea....
