I loved The Dark Knight for many reasons. I'm not going to gush about it here, I'm sure you all have seen it by now. This was solely to express my love for the movie, the cast, and probably most importantly, how perfect this song is for the abusive/unhealthy/mildly psychotic would-be relationship of Batman (Bruce)/Joker. The source file that I used wasn't the best quality (obviously, the dvd isn't out yet) so I tried to make it as clean as possible, which meant I had to tone down the special effects. I don't usually use many to begin with, but I found it was especially difficult to not draw attention to the pixelated-ness of the source file in the darker lighting parts of the movie (of which there were quite a few!). If I tried to brighten it, square pixels everywhere! But I tried. Hopefully it's not too horrendous on your monitor full-screen. As for the pacing, I wanted a slow build-up, kind of reflecting the smoldering, sexy quality of the song (shutup, it is. Smoldering, that is) and then it kind of gets a bit more -uh- chaotic? I guess is the word...towards the end. That's why I included most of the big action sequences spliced at the end there. I was concerned that might make the end seem rushed, but, hopefully I'm just paranoid. The middle sequence is my favorite in the interlude type part of the song, but I do have a fond place in my heart for the first chorus (knife-face-knife-face-knife-face!)
