Alan Rickman sure knows how to threaten somebody. The change from Richard Harris to Michael Gambon for Dumbledore always really bothered me because Harris spoke so quietly, and Gambon speaks loudly and clearly...and every once in a while, he actually shouts, especially in Goblet of Fire. I realize that I saw the movie of Sorcerer's Stone before reading the book, so Harris forever cemented my idea of what Dumbledore is like, but for Pete's sake, he shouldn't shout. Ever. In Order of the Phoenix, when Snape is threatening Harry, and Rickman is so quiet, almost hissing, I was like, "See? That's how you threaten somebody. Are you watching, Michael Gambon?"

I am so glad you are able to hear Alan Rickman's voice... it enhances the Harry Potter movies enormously!
