So when I'm home on Saturdays during the spring and summer, one of the things I do is watch the ducks. My apartment is next to a man-made pond so every year we have assorted water animals visit us, including muskrats, geese, herons, and egrets. The mallards are my favorites ( Read more... )

Aww, poor potential daddy duck. Is hanging out by the water the duck equivalent of dancing at the club?

What do you get the 1-year-old who has everything?

I think it is! Sometimes the females get drowned because too many over-eager males try to get on that :-P

Shakin' them tailfeathers gets you nothing but trouble. i bet it's cheaper being a mack daddy duck than human though. You don't have to buy a bunch of girls apple martini's in the club, you can just bring them a bug. Those are free. On the bad side, if you're the female duck, he just brought you a bug. Just a bug.

"He's gotta sleep sometime...." omg I just died laughing! Also I love ducks and geese. Trufax there are days I go to the zoo just so I can hang around the duck ponds and watch the wild ducks and geese couples and families who have taken refuge there.

I love ducks! Geese ehhhh they tend to hiss at me and try to hassle me out of my food... and poo on my sidewalk, lol!
