I just don't know, the only Ash gig I was able to go to was in 2007. This time around, their advice to under-18s is "Do you pass for 18? Try and blag your way in!"
To which my answer is "FFFFFUUUU-" The whole point of having all-ages gigs is that people don't have to blag their way in, and they can see the bands they want to. But of course licensing laws mean that venues can't make as much money, because to let under-18s into a place with a full bar (it can be done, i've been to gigs like that before) you need more security staff. There are decent reasons for age restrictions on gigs, but there are just as many reasons to have all ages gigs.
I might have to try going directly to their agent, might get a more useful answer.
With this gig though, I think it would be worse in a way if it were all ages, since I can't go. Knowing that even if I was able to get to Dublin, I wouldn't get *in* makes it a bit better. Ish.

There was a tomorrow's Dublin gig is not all ages tweet just now - why do they not do all ages gigs any more?
