I just saw a guy interviewed on some educational channel who was in prision. He had 3 consecutive 50 year sentances plus life in prision. What the hell is the reasoning behind that? Did the judge say "In the event that you manage to live more the a century and a half, you'll have to stay in jail till you finally do die"? I want to know why it's ( Read more... )

i always figured it had somethin to do with parole and also sometimes the sentences can get revoked if new evidence comes into the picture...so that way if one of the sentences falls through with time there are 3 more to back up the judge's word. just makes it harder to get around the system.

but I'm pretty sure that if you kill someone, they won't let you out.

accutually i think a life sentece is only set up for 20 years then u are eligible for parole. wwhat do u care muders should rot in jail
