I have had my hands full with making plans, discarding plans, making new plans, trying out gear, not liking gear, trying out different gear. I’ve taken to calling my house ‘Trip Lab.’ Here’s a quick tour:

I know this wasn't the point of the post, but I am drooling over the pictures of your house. I always drool over your house. It's beautiful, and what's even better is that it's technically a bachelor pad. What bachelor usually has that kind of a pad - neat, organized, well-furnished and attractive? Must say something about the guy who lives there ;)

Those are definitely good things!
I think we are leaving around the same time. I'll be in Milwaukee, after Africa, in early-mid August; we definitely need to trade some stories then. I hope your trip is a blast. I just got my travel funding today, so my bank account isn't looking quite so bleak :) Who knows, maybe I'll even have money leftover when I get back and be looking for someone to spend it on :)~
