Dress Rehearsal

Back on May 6th, I tried to do a dress rehearsal for the trip. The plan was to go to visit a friend in Columbia, MO, about 450 miles away, and return the next day. It should let me see if the idea of doing two 550 miles days in a row was practical or not.

That sounds like a miserable trip. I'm really sorry!

I'm told that rubber cement, tent sealant, and duct tape are perfect fixes for rain gear.

It was less than fun, but educational. The learning just keeps on going....

Thanks for the rain gear advice. I did the repairs I think were needed and I do have duct tape packed.
