...but how can we read if you never post? *grins* I'm always looking, you know. ...and as much as other people bother me--even my students--about getting a MySpace, thus far I'm sticking to my "eff MySpace" platform. I'm sure I'll cave eventually...whatever.

I will have to strongly disagree with you on this though: "People here aren't concerned with really being alive." Go read mothburning for a prime example of someone who really lives AND really knows how to write about it. Expression is a means of healing, if you allow it to be so. Then again, that's my musician's bias talking. Henry Miller once said that the curse of every artist is the struggle to reproduce the original source of inspiration and convey it to others...knowing that you can never do it justice. Sad, yes, but terribly beautiful, nonetheless.

In any case, please do whatever you feel is best for you, but don't resent LJ--and certainly not those who choose to use and yes, even love it.

not here as in all encompassing here... rather here. specifically in this small sphere i exist in.

i don't resent LJ. it's really more of an observation that more people use it less than myspace than before.. and i post less just because i tend to favor a paper and pen :)
