Tomorrow I fly out to Austin, TX to join the wife for her brother's wedding. This is my first wedding, incidentally, and as simply the groom's sister's best friend I am very touched to be invited and made to feel like honorary family. Meanwhile, I am a big fan of the couple (brookeandjoe.com), who are about to become the only married couple I know

Hehe, I was about to get offended, but then I realised you probably never met my husband... It's amazing what happens when you don't go to the dining hall.

Your piece about Wells though, hit the nail on the head. I hate Well for what it did to me, but I know I wouldn't be who I am without it. I hate seeing other people go through the same things we did but I know those things will make them stronger. It's so hard because there is so much to dislike and to know is wrong, but there was so much strength with us. I mean, look at us, we have alums from years ago joining livejournal so they can keep up with what's going on on campus, and recent alums are still in contact with current students, figuring out what to do, who to talk to. There's really nothing like it.
