Ice & Fire Festival downtown Regina, this past weekend. I was there Saturday, but partially drugged on Robaxasil. Chris and I went back Sunday, but the majority of snow sculptures were destroyed or a bit melted.
Not meaning to offend or anything but those are the ugliest ice sculptures I have ever seen. Are they all experimenting with Dadaism or what? So weird.
On the other hand, the snowy scene looks beautiful and the downtown seems more "downtowny" than I thought it would. Really charming.

I get it a little more now, Fire and Ice, that's why the first pic looks like someone with a urinary tract infection that is causing bleeding peed on that one. Cool. You know I love that kind of thing.

ha ha mel, you so funny... there was a lot of yellow... which is the color of pee (specifically, the pee of someone who has not drank enough water). Tell you the truth, I wasn't that impressed. The flyer for the festival had a pretty photo of an impressive sculpture which colourful frogs on it...yea, there were only a couple that I was impressed with. The city should more $ into it and maybe then the sculptures would be amazing.
I was pretty drugged when I went on Sat. I remember swearing loudly and friends telling me that there were children around (oops!) and then i stumbled home when I lost track of friends. One lovely friend called later to make sure I was okay. Oh boy, I was out of it. I am still taking Robax, but not at work. slowly getting better...
