Off-topic, but...(in response to your comment on your last entry)

no matter where I'm living, my room is going to be blue. Dark blue. And red. But mostly blue :) Oh! And I bought all these vintage pictures of Europe and these reproductions of French advertisements to hang on the wall. I'm trying to find something to hang from my ceiling, though. I'm afraid it'll be too "blah," you know?

How are you decorating your room? I'm trying to get psyched up about ML if things don't work out, which they probably won't. Do you think you'll try to get a room change?

(Maybe, just maybe...two girls just decide to transfer out of Swat, leaving us a double room on-campus. Then we could still be roomies...)

The Salamander Room! Awesome book! I wish I could make my room like that, with the open sky and all.

Dorm rooms have a way of accumulating stuff, same as rooms at home. There's a poster sale at the beginning of the year, so you know, and if you help them sort and file things for a little while they'll pay you in posters!

Just show up at the sale and offer to help. They'll probably have something for you to do. Have I expressed to you my desire to have a toad in my room next year? My actual roommate has not been consulted, but my quint-mates think it's a good idea. :)

i'd gladly feed/take care of it if you're ever not there... or provide some snail friends.

ah, yes. i think dorm-decorating in itself will be a just a little bit formative, like writing--in the process of reflecting yourself in a space, you start discovering what that self is. eh, i dunno (too much soul juice, yucko!) and yeah, hopefully the walls won't protest too much!

:D hola! good to [in an lj sense] meet you! :)
