My goodness. The creativity has been leeched out of me today so that all of its juice went into taping a few pretty leaves to my windows and scribbling somethings that amounted to nothings. Oh well ( Read more... )

frank grossman (urban ed) is AWESOME. i'm a huge fan of the guy / he's super cool / he used to teach bio in HS in LA. i'd be taking that class if it didn't conflict w/ my 'body in contemporary art' seminar.

last semester i had two good friends who took existentialism with lorraine. both of them intensely disliked the class, one of them for sure intensely disliked the prof. however, i have a third friend who definitely likes lorraine as a person, but then again lorraine is her advisor, so she may be partial ( ... )

Pomegranate!
(really wants to take the Cross and Crescent FYS...though I was told today to not take history classes with any faculty member whose name sounds like a piece of furniture. This is nearly a direct quote. The class still sounds lovely, though.)

Scott Gilbert!

I am curious about your Bio plans, though - are you thinking you're going to be a Bio major? If so, I would highly, highly recommend that you take Bio 002. It gives you all the necessary stat./writing skills that you'll need for the rest of your Swat Bio (and general Bio) career - plus it's lots of fun. But that's just me. I took the AP in high school and so skipped Bio 001 and went right into 034 - and did Bio 002 in the spring. In retrospect, I kinda wish I'd taken Bio 001, but it's all worked out just fine.

If you aren't planning to major in Bio, disregard that and definitely go ahead and take Scott's course. Developmental Biology is beautiful.

But I'm just opinionated. Good luck in your selections!
