The people around here actually do have decent tastes every once in a while, I guess. That dinner party wasn't so bad, and we finally got out of the Badlands. Good riddance! If I never again set foot in that dry, dirty, middle-of-nowhere place again, it'll be too soon ( Read more... )

dinner party, akihiko (caesarstrike), tank girl (the_tank_girl), whuh?, licere, john (threeleggeddoc), needs extra batteries, luke goes exploring, sara (dontkillmebro), these people are crazy, hotsprings

Hm. We'll be going to a lot of different places you've probably never been to.

A lot of places I've definitely never been to unless I just don't remember them.

...And you're from Bellcius?

Hey! What's that supposed to mean?

This isn't that much compared to there, that's all.

I-I know that! I've never been around Bellcius either. And it's still better than the Badlands.

Never in a city before, eh? Well, they're not so great as everyone supposes. More things to nick and better weapons, but there's more jollies to be had in the Badlands, mate.

"Nick"? "Jollies"? What language are we talking here?

And if you really thought the Badlands were so great, there must be something wrong with you. I didn't see anything at all except a lot of sand and mountains, oh yeah, and that run down old barn.

Hells yeah, there's a lot of sand and mountains! It's what makes it good. Lots of places to test out the latest explosives, lots of nothing all around so people'll leave you alone if you don't want to be found.

Who got your knickers in a twist, sweetie?

Sand means dirt. Dirt means dirty. Dirty means you have to bathe for an hour so you're clean again.

...

Wait WAIT WAIT!!
...Explosives?! Are you crazy???

How in the world did you expect to search for your master if you've never even been in a city before? [thunderstruck]

Well--! I figured I could recognize Master anywhere. The world can't be that big... can it?

He might not even be in a city!

That is if you manage to cover every square meter of Reial, and even then, that is also assuming he does not move from his spot. Oh, Luke.

Well...! Well I already know he isn't in the Badlands! That only leaves the rest of Ivona, Vohemar, Erealia, and those other islands out there.

....

[Sigh.]

...you're right. It's hopeless. But you'd think Van Grants would be pretty famous, being a master swordsman and all. Someone must know where he is. And even if he was still in Bellcius, I doubt he will be by the time we get there.
