I can't get through a Brief History...my mom bought it for me a year ago, and I can't bring myself to get very far, along with one other book by Bryson, about the English language, which is a bit more tolerable. :)

ooh, I quite like the breif history book though. I go thirty or forty pages at a time so it takes a while, but I think it is interesting. Bryson seems pretty cool.
