Just a picture I posted over on my art LJ - purpleponyart. I love being able to spend more time on my photos with Lightroom - in 2012 that would not have been a reality at all. I just scanned and chose the best to edit while now I can edit hundreds at once ( Read more... )

Nice "candid" shot :)

Back in Utica NY, there were many more crows than pigeons. Here in Seattle (at least where I work), gulls, pigeons and crows are similar in populations with pigeons having the edge. :)

Thanks :) I waited a long time and majestic just wasn't happening.

I would say that there are more pigeons here - the gulls are seasonal, but we get a good variety in Alberta.

I have never had good luck with our local gulls. They tend to turn their backs on me (seriously!). They don't move; they just turn their backs. Weird.

Where I live (south of Seattle), we have Band-tailed Pigeons, which are nice :) They don't seem to flock and also spend a lot of time in the tall firs.

Oh and by the way, I took the liberty of adding you as a friend. I post a lot of photos in my LJ and this way if you are bored, you can go on virtual walks in the Puget Sound area :)

Ours do that too - they walk away perpetually hunched. It's hard to imagine a gull feeling happy :)

Thanks for the add btw!
