Today I went to the mall to return a jacket. It was from Macy's, which is clear on one end of the mall. As I was walking out the door my mother says, "Nordstroms opened today. Why don't you check it out?" (what she really said is go there and see if they're giving away anything free, but we'll keep going for the sake of the story). I head to Macy's

I bet my mother was at Nordstrom's, too.

Also, this is totally random, but I've started preaching eyebrow threading like it's the second coming. My skin goes bananas (bright red, pimples, sometimes even the skin rips off) anytime I wax my eyebrows, but without waxing, my forehead resembles the Geico caveman's.

Eyebrow threading is a way of removing the hair using string. It's kind of like a mass-plucking, so it doesn't really hurt, pulls the hair out by the root, and the surrounding skin isn't affected at all.

I used to get it done in New York this summer for $6, but I'm letting my eyebrows grow in this fall while I'm in Italy, and I had no idea where to get it done in Pittsburgh. Thanks for the heads-up!

well, I wasn't sure because the title says "eyebrow Threading," but there is a picture of a giant eye with jewels in the lashes. So... I just assumed the worst. Still sounds strange and interesting, though like it is way more practical than I thought!
