Having reached her destination, River knocked at the door.

Raven lifted her cowl to conceal her face as she attempted to regain control of her emotions. Pausing a moment to collect her thoughts and strengthen her resolve, she used her powers to unlock and open the door from across the room, not really feeling like getting up.

As she magically closed and locked the door behind her guest, she tried to think of what exactly to say to River first. To thank her for being a friend and sticking up for her? Asking her if she knew about her father? Explaining her situation? No, she had to know already...
After the short pause, she quietly asked River about that online argument. "Why...why did you say those things to the Headmistress. About...me?" Bluntly, she asked the underlying question all at once. On the chance that River didn't know, she could always explain herself later, but if she did, then why did she continue to speak to her, much less stand up for her against the most powerful figure in the school? Slightly anxious, Raven sat in silence as she awaited the response.
